Material Planner Raw Materials

Job description:
The Material Planner has a key role in planning raw material requirements for Amaro Plant, in close collaboration with logistics and manufacturing. His tasks include:
• issuing and managing purchase orders to suppliers
• Ensuring timely deliveries to support production requirements
• Constantly monitoring RM supplies to avoid disruptions or problems
• Carrying out actions and contingency plans in case of shortages
• Ensuring the planned stock level
• Working in collaboration with other functions to manage phase in/out
• Supporting Master Planning and Order Management for new projects impacting raw materials
• Supporting specific projects on product/process continuous improvement (MOS projects)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics or high school diploma with more than 5 years experience in similar roles
• 2-3 years of experience in Material Planning or Purchasing areas preferably in manufacturing companies, working with multiple assembly lines and serial productions.
• Good knowledge in materials planning, MRP and international purchasing processes in complex environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication, relationship and negotiation skills
• Autonomous, target oriented and stress resilient in a professional environment
• Fluent English
• General knowledge of Excel, Outlook and ERP systems

Senior Buyer Direct Material

Job description:
The Senior Buyer for direct material brings to Modine his experience in the scouting of suppliers and negotiation of supply conditions, contributing to the improvement of the plant performances in close cooperation with several functions within the organization. More in detail, the tasks include:
• Understanding the plant needs from different perspectives: manufacturing, engineering, quality and production planning
• Exploiting his/her expertise in the commodities market in order to scout local and foreign suppliers which best match with the company needs
• Negotiating the supply conditions, focusing on quality, price, quantities, flexibility
• Considering the needs of several production sites, coordinating the requests and finding common solutions where possible
• Taking care of the reporting activities with regards to the assigned area of responsibility
• Assuring all necessary measures are put in place in order to reach the assigned targets
• Tracking and improvement of department KPIs

• Solid experience in negotiation with suppliers
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Italian and English
• Ability to work effectively in a structured multinational organization
• Ready to react quickly to fast changing environment conditions
• Ability to identify and optimize business opportunities
• Strong Excel skills
